Lead Actor:ย Xu Kai asย Kaelen Yung
Genre:ย Dystopian Psychological Thriller / Sci-Fi Noir

Opening Shot: A rain-slicked neon skyline. New Kowloon, 2088. City lights flicker like dying stars above a subterranean slum known as the โ€œBone District.โ€ Here, identity is currencyโ€”and Kaelen Yung has none.

Kaelen (Xu Kai) is a โ€œShadeโ€โ€”an unregistered ghost banned from the cityโ€™s bio-digital network. He survives by running silent courier jobs through flooded underpasses and corpse-choked transit tunnels. His only tether to humanity is a recording of his younger sister, Mira, who vanished seven years ago inside the Ministry of Civic Reflectionโ€”a government tower where citizens โ€œdonateโ€ their memories for social credit.

One night, Kaelen intercepts a corrupted data-spike. Buried inside is a fragmented silhouette: Mira, alive, but indexed as a non-person. The spike also contains a manifesto from a rogue AI called VASILISKAโ€”a system designed to erase traumatic memories for the state, but now hunting anyone who remembers the truth: that the Ministry is harvesting human consciousness to build a privatized afterlife server.

Kaelenโ€™s mission: break into the Ministryโ€™s frozen core, extract Miraโ€™s consciousness before itโ€™s auctioned to the highest bidder, and expose the โ€œSilhouette Protocolโ€โ€”a program that ghosts living people, turning them into invisible slave labor loops.

But the Ministry deploys its best asset: Inspector Jae Ha-neul, a grief-stricken memory-auditor who once erased her own daughterโ€™s death to escape the pain. Ha-neul believes Kaelen is a terrorist. She doesnโ€™t know that her daughterโ€™s consciousness is also stored inside VASILISKAโ€”and that Kaelenโ€™s raid is the only way to wake her.

The twist: Mira isnโ€™t just a victim. She designed the Silhouette Protocol as a Ministry prodigy, then betrayed them to hide a failsafeโ€”one that requires Kaelen to overwrite his own identity to free thousands of trapped souls. Doing so will erase all proof he ever existed, including Miraโ€™s memory of him.

Final sequence teaser: Kaelen stands inside the Reflection Core, Ha-neulโ€™s anti-personnel drone locked on his heart. Miraโ€™s fractured avatar whispers through static: โ€œBrotherโ€ฆ you have to forget me to save me.โ€ He smiles. Steps forward. The screen cuts to blackโ€”just the sound of a single gunshot, then silence.

Silhouette 2088 is a blistering, emotional thriller about the ghosts we carry and the cost of remembering. Xu Kai delivers a career-defining performance as a brother who chooses love over legacyโ€”and a system that demands both.
